What you'll need to succeed as a Regional Vice President at XPO
This position will be based out of the Kernersville, NC service center.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in business or related field required (logistics, supply chain management, manufacturing, finance, etc) or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- 10 plus years' experience working experience in a supply chain, procurement, maintenance, or transportations Service Company with some LTL experience preferred
- Proven ability to read and manage a P&L
- Previous supervisory experience in a team focused environment required
- Demonstrated knowledge of DOT Maintenance regulations required
- Demonstrated knowledge of sales and supply chain management techniques and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage vendor and customer relationships at all levels
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to perform and direct moderately complex analysis in spreadsheet and database programs, such as MS Excel and MS Access
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite program to effectively communicate internally and externally with customers
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive materials and information
- Ability to travel up to 75%

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Develop and lead multiple district remote work groups, to exceed/meet goals for EBITDA, Quality and Damages, Accidents and Injuries, Top Line Revenue growth, Yield Improvement and productivity standards
- Collaborate with multiple functions, such as Operations, Finance, Information Technology, Business Intelligence, and Human Resources to ensure expectations set forth by executive leadership are met
Regional Vice Presidents are required to:
- Demonstrate effective leadership, development, and communication of the commercial strategy, leading to the obtainment of EBITDA goals
- Actively engage with leaders to ensure proper staffing, forecasting, and attrition is managed appropriately and within defined targets
- Provide feedback and direction around labor planning models, freight flow models, and costing models to ensure proper staffing, network flow, and account profitability
- Achieve Regional P&L goals through District P&L ownership and span of control
- Develop, communicate, and execute to cost driven KPI's, drive accountability of the desired behavior of staff to meet goals and expectations, develops and communicates countermeasures when KPI's are falling short of financial plan expectations
- Proactively collaborate with linehaul and other support functions to ensure capacity and route planning is executed to its maximum efficiency
- Ensure compliance with our obligation to proactively manage through proper processes, pre/post trips and ongoing scheduled maintenance of company assets, facilities and other infrastructure to include physical and rolling stock
- Drive continuous improvement in all Quality metrics to drive down claim cost and improve customer satisfaction
- Drive continuous improvement in all On Time service metrics to improve customer satisfaction.
- Ensure workforce engagement measured by survey scores, round tables, site assessments and other feedback methodologies which enables a supportive work environment, and effective employee relations
- Ensure HR policies are applied consistently across the workforce
- Provide ownership of revenue, shipment, and tonnage goals through strong collaboration of all sales channels to support external customer relationships and drive sales ownership to the Service Center level
- Execute Fleet strategy and tactics to increase profitability and reduce costs
- Collaborate with multiple functional areas such as Business Intelligence, Finance, Safety, Procurement and Information Technology to develop data paths to identify efficiencies
