Logistics Specialist
Karen Pearse & Co., LLC is a full service company tailoring solutions to our client's needs. We offer services such as Domestic & International custom fabrication, full service shop drawing & cut ticket department, engineering services, global sourcing network, full inspection services & CAD drafting & estimating.
This position requires a highly motivated, organized, detail oriented individual to lead and drive multiple, high profile and concurrent projects. A familiarity in the Stone & Tile industry is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain and negotiate both ocean and air freight pricing directly with freight forwarders.
- Communicate daily with freight forwarders.
- Determine most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods.
- Manage carrier relationships and performance.
- Assist with generating documents such as sidemarks, packing lists, commercial invoices and advanced shipping notices (ASN).
- Review and approve shipping invoices.
- Assist with all in-office tasks, as needed.
- Handle all special projects.
Requirements:
- Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Flexibility to adjust to rapidly changing situations.
- Creative thinker, problems solver and solutions designer.
- Ability to follow up effectively.
- Capable of managing multiple, time sensitive, high-pressure projects, independently.
