Position Summary: The Dispatcher will ensure equipment is properly working by utilizing appropriate resources. Accurately track data for trends and preventive measures.
Essential Job Duties:
- Dispatch help Chain Members at pre-designated intervals
- Monitors Andon activation and escalation process
- Inputs all Andon information database
- Ensures time-based help chain is followed
- Records data around all Andon triggers
- Maintains and data mines the Andon Database to support groups as needed in problem solving
- Coordinates all help chain activities
- Manage radio communication from Help Chain Members
- Record Andon information into database
- Investigate historical data and relay information to Help Chain Members
- Post daily and weekly production status
- Produce Pareto and Trend charts for PDCA meetings
- Serves as coordinator for 5C and Red Card A3 Problem Solving
- Tracks all open Red Card A3's - Alerts as to report out timing
- Monitors all closed Red Card A3's for 90 days to ensure no reoccurrence
- Provides data assistance with Red Card A3 efforts
- Assist in Rapid Response team response
- Support Team Leaders and Area Managers in data gathering as necessary
- Assist gathering shop floor production numbers when needed
- Produce additional data analysis upon request.
- Supports Team with KPI reports
- Follows up on Problem Analysis progress and Countermeasures-
- Ensure "5-Why" and "5C's" In-Depth Analysis
- Successful completion of TMOS is required
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must possess Microsoft Office skills with advanced Excel skills to include working with and building spreadsheets, Pivot tables, and graph generation
- Must be able to multitask
- Basic computer skill
- Skilled in problem solving application and coaching preferred
Education and/or Experience: High School Degree or GED required.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and complete necessary production forms. Ability to speak effectively with fellow employees and/or customers.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, schedule, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables; problem solving ability.

The employee must regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. Moving/lifting greater than 50 pounds requires assistance from another employee or a lifting device/hoist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Required Personal Protective Equipment: Employee is required to wear proper safety eyewear, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes at all times while on the plant floor.
The hourly compensation for this role is $21.50 per hour, is commensurate on experience and education, and could pay more or less than the posted range. This full-time position is eligible to participate in the company's paid time off plan that includes 10 additional company-paid holidays, 401(k) and/or Roth 401(k) with company match after one (1) month of employment plus quarterly Core Defined Contributions, and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.
