What you'll do on a typical day:
- Identify and perform repetitive assembly of various trailer component parts using blueprints or work instructions
- Use various measuring and inspection instruments, power tools, and hand tools in a safe manner
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality standards
- Organize parts and equipment to maximize efficiency within the department
- Maintain a professional demeanor and communicate in a respectful and collaborative manner
- Follow directions and be adaptable to changing conditions and expectations
- Collaborate and support other members of the company
- Maintain punctual and reliable attendance
- Demonstrate the company's core values and comply with all company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Production Technician Associates are required to:
- Follow safety rules and work in a safe manner
- Perform work in a manufacturing environment and work outside, if necessary
- Perform fine manipulations of parts with fingers
- Safely walk, reach (including above head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel in strained and awkward positions for prolonged periods
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Use both close vision and depth perception
