PURPOSE
The Great Lakes Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing a dedicated sales team, assigned manufacturers reps, and distributors with a strong focus on growing our business relationships within this region. In this role our successful candidate will optimize their resources and provide technical product knowledge to ensure our customers' needs are met or exceeded. Position may sit in any of the Great Lakes region states (MI strongly preferred), but must be in close proximity to a major airport (60 mins or less).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop a business plan for your region
Manage Manufacturers Representatives
Manage and develop a team of Rollon employees
Grow sales in the assigned region
Monitor performance of Rep organizations, direct activities, and assist with customer development and relationships
Manage High Tech Distributor (HTD) partner business in the sales territory and interface with the HTD sales process
Target key accounts and penetrate them
Plan and organize daily work schedule to call on existing and prospective accounts
Master product information / application knowledge through training and personal efforts
Direct & guide efforts of sales, technical, customer service and production personnel as necessary to maximize sales opportunities
Develop effective sales presentations tailored uniquely to each account
Implement the Rollon selling system and monitor compliance to the system
Keep management informed through the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
Manage opportunity list and grow the prospect list. Work with Reps to make sure that the CRM system and opportunity list are up to date and accurate.
Attend Trade Shows
Travel expected to be approximately 50% of the time and includes air, road and overnight trips
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required (Engineering degree strongly preferred)
Prior experience successfully leading a sales team
At least 7 years of field sales experience, 5 of which must be in the industrial motion or automation industry
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship **NO SPONSORSHIP is available for this position**
