Global Sales Director - Freight Forwarding
Location: Hybrid/Remote
Salary - $120k to $150k base and performance related bonuses
Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)/CEO

Job Overview:
As the Global Sales Director in the Freight Forwarding industry, you will be responsible for driving the global sales strategy, leading a dynamic sales team, and achieving revenue growth targets across international markets. You will work closely with executive leadership to develop and implement sales plans that align with the company's goals, ensuring sustainable growth and strong customer relationships. This role demands a deep understanding of the freight forwarding industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset.

Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of the freight forwarding industry, including international trade regulations, supply chain management, and logistics.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Ability to travel internationally as required.

Key Responsibilities & Sales Strategy & Execution: - Develop and implement a comprehensive global sales strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives.
Identify new market opportunities and develop plans to penetrate these markets.
Set and achieve sales targets, both on a regional and global scale.


Team Leadership & Development: - Lead, mentor, and manage a global sales team to achieve high performance and drive results.
Foster a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and customer focus within the sales team.
Provide regular performance feedback and professional development opportunities for the team.

Market & Industry Analysis: - Conduct in-depth market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
Stay updated with industry developments, regulatory changes, and economic factors impacting the freight forwarding industry.
Provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership based on market analysis.

Client Relationship Management: -Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders globally.
Develop customized solutions to meet client needs and enhance customer satisfaction.
Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service across all regions.

Collaboration & Communication: -Collaborate with other departments such as Operations, Finance, and Marketing to ensure seamless service delivery.
Communicate sales performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives to the executive team.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Financial Management: - Manage the global sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
Monitor sales performance against budget and forecast, making adjustments as necessary.
Drive profitability through effective pricing strategies and cost management.

Qualifications & Experience - Education: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
