As the Vice President, Supply Chain Operations, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards for all activities within the multi-client facilities within GXO's network. You'll ensure that the quality management system processes and procedures are implemented and maintained. Your passion for delivering high quality solutions for customers will create value for both GXO and its stakeholders. What you'll do on a typical day:
- Implement and maintain operational processes and procedures
- Report on performance metrics and initiate improvements as needed
- Establish and maintain labor management processes for all multi-client sites within the GXO network
- Establish and meet site objectives in the areas of financial performance, safety, quality and customer service in compliance with all applicable internal and external policies
- Provide accurate and timely submission of key quality, financial and safety reports
- Work directly with the Solutions, Engineering, Real Estate, Finance, and Client Success teams to enable tactical and strategic growth of multi-client solutions at GXO
- Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively; take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy; consult with HR as appropriate
- Coordinate site activities through planning with departmental directors, managers and supervisors to ensure objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence activities
- Drive a culture of innovation and success that values diverse voices, talents, identities, backgrounds and experiences
- Influence and shape the global go-to-market strategy for mid-market and multi-client facility management approach.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management in distribution environment
- Demonstrated planning, project management and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner with all levels of an organization, from hourly associates to senior executives, as well as external customers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
It'd be great if you also have:
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Availability to travel up to 75% of the time
- Experience in an ISO environment
- Experience running multiple multi-client sites
- Experience in a competitive 3PL environment
- Strong problem-solving techniques
- Ability to recognize and anticipate business challenges and opportunities for both GXO and its customers
- Experience working with solutions design and/or designing supply chain solutions for multi-client sites
- Strong previous experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence in complex warehousing/logistics environments
- Success managing multiple sites within a matrix-based organization
- Success with building a diverse, inclusive workforce and leading a culture of belonging that respects every team member
