Our client is a Global Freight Forwarder looking for an Air Export Supervisor to join the organization

The Air Export Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the proper and timely movement of shipments as well as client satisfaction. The Air Export Agent is responsible for processing export shipments while coordinating with the internal customer service group and providing timely updates to external customers. He/she will be responsible for achieving high accuracy through our forwarding systems to ensure high productivity and operational excellence.

About the Position
Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Preparation of airwaybills in a timely manner to meet gateway and airline cutoffs.
Ensuring the timely quotation of all client RFQs
Proper Handling of priority shipments
Preparation of all Necessary Export Documents including AES filing
Coordination with warehouse and gateways around the country
Coordination and pre-advises to destination offices / agents.
Communication with customer service group for any requirements or exceptions found in freight documents or physical cargo receipt, report any discrepancies to avoid mis-handling of goods.
Assists the day-to-day operations of the export department to ensure that customer requirements are met and that all clients receive thorough timely communication.
Ensure timely billing of files
Trace shipment through transit points up to final destination and advice customer service as needed with timely updates.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Set up reporting to monitor key accounts' activity/shipments on a daily basis
Oversee special projects as needed
Could you coordinate communication between all parties to make sure customer requirements are met?
Meet or exceed standards set by the Compass Quality Compliance team and your manager.

Qualifications
This is an operation position, as such, it requires exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication (verbal and written) skills.

Additional skills include:
Previous experience working in air export for a freight forwarder is a must-have to take on this position
Knowledge of Cargowise, certification a plus
IATA certification
Hazmat training
Strong organizational skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to communicate and comprehend to obtain positive results
Computer skills
Word, Office, Excel, Powerpoint
Prior experience with Cargowise is a plus.
Phenomenal customer service skills and an aggressive, self-starting, positive 'can do' attitude.

Education & Experience
Associate's degree preferred and or related experience.Related air export/international experience.
