Staff Management - SMX in Northeast Indianapolis, Indiana is hiring Food Production Associates to join our team. This is a temp-to-hire position and we offer benefit packages, weekly paychecks, as well as advancement opportunities with an amazing company.
Hours/Shifts: These positions are 12-hour shifts that have variable work days week to week, depending on production needs.
- 1st Shift: 6:00am - 6:00pm
- 2nd Shift: 6:00pm - 6:00am

Duties:
As part of our production team, you will be responsible for several different manufacturing activities. You will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be flexible about where you are on the production line. You must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions, safety and follow and maintain GMP standards. Some essential functions you will be responsible for, but not limited to are:
- Work together as a helper on one of the various roles on the production line (helper, indexer, feeder, packer, catcher, etc.)
- Physical and repetitive in nature: grasp, lift, move, place, and stacking.
- Visually inspect products for quality and quantity.
- Support quality control programs to ensure production procedures follow best practices of food safety and quality standards.
- Report all equipment issues to the supervisor or manager as soon as possible.
- Understands and complies with all safety procedures that apply to daily operations.
- Work safely; follow proper lockout/tag-out procedure where applicable.
- Maintains a safe and clean environment by adhering to safety policy and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) procedures.
- May assist with cleaning and sanitation of equipment and environment pre- and post-production.
- Maintains excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward guests, customers, clients, coworkers, etc.
- Adheres to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation.
- May perform other duties not listed.
- Previous safety training preferred.
- Prior food industry experience a plus.
- Familiarity with bakery equipment preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Speaking/writing in English is required.
