Order Selector - Vinita Park, MO - Staff Management SMX

The Order Selector safely operates material handling equipment to perform various warehouse operations for loading, unloading, storing and retrieving products and materials. Work is performed in a warehouse environment where temps range from 0 to 50 degrees. In this role, work activities include normal range of motion and the Order Selector may be required to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 70 pounds. A full range of body motion is required on the job to include frequent sitting, bending, stooping, crouching, lifting, carrying, grasping, pinching, feeling, walking, standing, climbing, driving, pushing/pulling, handling, balancing, reaching on all planes. The Order Selector may be required to wear protective hard hat, reflective clothing, ear wear, eye wear, gloves, footwear or other required protective attire. Positions that align with this job title may include: Case Selector, Pallet Selector, Shipping and Receiving, Stocker, Re-Stocker, Hauler.

Pay Rate: $17.60 - $25.60 / hour

Duties:
  • Conducts oneself and operates equipment and acts in accordance with all company policies, safety rules, regulations, laws, including wearing proper personal protective equipment.
  • Conducts oneself in a positive professional manner at all times.
  • Takes advantage of all opportunities to attend training sessions to upgrade knowledge.
  • Continually recommend measures to improve production and quality methods, equipment performance and use, safety and workplace environment.
  • Make suggestions for improving the company.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of inventory control experience preferred.

Position Requirements:
  • May require material handling certification.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations.
  • Principles, practices and methods of inventory control and quality assurance.
  • Principles and practices of effective customer service.
  • Reasoning, reading, language and communication skills, both oral and written are required on the job as well as basic mathematics.
  • The ability to follow specific directions and perform a variety of duties in an environment which may often change is a requirement.
  • Work within precise standards of accuracy and within time limits and rates information using standards that can be measured or checked.
  • Ability to coordinate and perform multiple tasks at a fast pace.
  • Ability to judge distances accurately.
  • Repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure.
  • Evaluate information using measurable standards to make decision based on that information.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain required certifications.
  • Ability to read gauges properly.
  • The ability to get along with others and non-violence is required to consistently promote a positive team environment.
  • The ability to attend work with punctuality is required on a regular and consistent basis.
  • The ability to work as a productive and successful member of a group or team in the work environment is required.
