Regional Manager – Freight Forwarding – Domestics Sales (Van Load/FTL/LTL)
Location: Southeast – remote
Full time
Salary - $95k to $150k – Commensurate with experience
Book of Business to transition is advantageous

Must have relevant experience in Domestic Sales in Freight Forwarding.
Must have a minimum of 5 years in Freight Forwarding Sales

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Regional Manager to lead our efforts in expanding our market presence.

Job Summary:
The Regional Manager will be responsible for overseeing and growing our operations within a designated region. This role involves managing a portfolio of existing business accounts, developing new client relationships, and driving overall regional performance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in freight forwarding with significant experience in van load, FTL, and LTL services.

Key Responsibilities:
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region, leveraging your existing book of business to drive sales growth. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
Account Management: Oversee a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention. Address and resolve any service issues or challenges promptly.
Operational Oversight: Monitor and manage regional operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to company standards. Coordinate with internal teams to optimize routing, load management, and logistics processes.
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement regional sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets. Analyze market trends and competitor activity to adjust strategies as needed.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales and operations professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Reporting and Analytics: Provide regular reports on regional performance, including sales metrics, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Use data-driven insights to drive improvements and decision-making.

Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry, with a focus on van load, FTL, and LTL services. Demonstrated success in managing a book of business and achieving sales targets.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced certifications or additional training in logistics management are a plus.

Skills:
Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of securing and managing large accounts.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
In-depth knowledge of freight forwarding operations and logistics.
Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and industry-specific tools.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
