Position Summary:
Timken is seeking a talented and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading HR strategies to support the company's strategic goals. You will drive initiatives in employee relations and engagement, performance management, talent acquisition and development, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. The HR Manager will work closely with leadership and employees to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Provide support and guidance to employees and leadership on HR-related matters.
- Act as a trusted advisor for employee concerns and mediate conflict resolution.
- Manage and monitor performance evaluation systems, including performance reviews and development plans.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract, hire, onboard, and retain qualified candidates.
- Develop and manage training programs to enhance employee development and career growth.
- Implement and update HR policies and procedures.
- Provide key HR metrics and analytics to leadership for informative decision-making and strategy alignment.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment while ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- 8 years Human Resource experience or organizational development role within manufacturing.
- Must be eligible to work in the US.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- Professional HR certification, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
- Proven ability to lead HR Teams.
- Experience in training and development.
- Experience with HR software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
