Position Summary:
The Warranty Parts Specialist will ensure maintenance commodity sourcing meets Penske Maintenance and OE standards. The Specialist will assist the Penske Sourcing department investigating opportunities for cost savings. This role will also assist with managing Parts Catalogs and OEM changes.
Major Responsibilities:
- Research, evaluate, and monitor OE parts and aftermarket alternative parts solutions.
- Evaluate OE fluid recommendations, specifications, and changes for engine, rear, transmission, and other shop fluids to streamline shop inventories.
- Assist with and recommend Sourcing Department product evaluations to identify cost savings opportunities on commodity purchases while ensuring compliance with OE and Maintenance standards.
- Ensure Parts Catalog and Intelligent Parts Catalog accurately present preferred parts to field associates that meet OE and Penske Maintenance standards.
- Assist Warranty Product Managers and Technical Writer with research and create presentations on findings.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by Director
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in business concentration preferred
- 3 years of transportation industry experience required
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Experienced in Microsoft Project Manager
- Strong organizational skills required
- Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
