Timken Power Systems' has a current opening at their headquarters in King of Prussia, PA for an IT Delivery Manager. This position is responsible for directing, planning and coordinating the Timken Power Systems organization's information system and related activities. The incumbent will determine the organization's IT goals/objectives based on the overall feedback of the business as well as develop, implement and manage the organization's plan, workflows and recommend the appropriate technological needs to meet the overall business's IT objective.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide direction and strategy for technical solutions within Infrastructure & Operations
- Ensure a stable IT environment to meet a 99.9% up time requirement for all systems and applications
- Lead projects and programs that drive IT service delivery, quality, and reliability
- Communicate and collaborate with Timken corporate IT leadership
- Work with Timken corporate IT security to ensure the safety and security of the organization's network and electronic IP
- Ensure adherence and proper documentation for all auditing requirements
- Stay current with new technologies and look for ways to strategically implement them within the organization when needed
- Oversee and manage plant/manufacturing IT rationalization program and cost controls
- Work in conjunction with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Sales/Marketing and other core departments
- Determine short and long term training needs for self and direct reports
- Manage vendor relationships and associated service management agreements
Key Attributes:
- Experience with a wide array of IT technologies such as Epicor, Oracle, Web, client/server, network, telecommunication, storage, high availability, disaster recovery, asset management, software distribution and help desk services
- Ability to lead a team of analysts and specialists that exist locally and virtually
- Demonstrated understanding of IT operations best practices, including performance measurement, capacity planning, and all aspects of operational processes
- Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
- Well developed vendor negotiation and contract management skills
- Solid financial management skills in the areas of budget, cost control and cost reduction measures
- Proven project management and organization skills
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field
Minimum of 10 years of technical design/support, end user services experience, 12 years preferred
Minimum of 2 years of IT management experience, 5 years preferred
Proficient at multitasking and prioritization for both self and direct report
Strong customer service mentality
