Job Description

Account Managers play a crucial role in our company, cultivating and nurturing robust relationships with existing and prospective customers. Your dedication to ensuring that customer needs and expectations are not just met, but exceeded, throughout the shipping process is integral to our success. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for building your book of business, managing challenges like a boss, and maintaining accountability to metrics outlined in customer contracts and company expectations while working well with others.-

Responsibilities:
  • Create your sales pipeline by generating leads and attracting new prospects
  • Onboard new customers
  • Negotiate pricing
  • Full functional responsibility for assigned book of business 
  • Collaborate with shippers, carriers, and drivers to pick up and deliver shipments
  • Provide excellent customer service to assigned customer accounts 
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure issues are resolved effectively and communicated with the customer 
  • Utilize the internal TMS system to keep accurate records of your activities

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Sales driven and highly motivated
  • Prior logistics experience
  • Can connect and communicate well with others
  • Can handle multiple tasks and work independently and with a team
  • Ability to identify and prioritize by urgency/need.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications and programs.
  • Tenacious, curious, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • two years of Sales, Account Management, and client service experience.
  • two years of Cold Calling experience.
  • Must have at least one year of experience in Transportation or Third-Party Logistics (3PL).  Would prefer two or more.
