The Manager, Compliance is responsible for maintaining excellence in customer service, meeting deadlines with timeliness, and ensuring accuracy in all data entry tasks within Microsoft Edge. This role involves developing professional relationships and working directly with customers and drivers. Additionally, the Supervisor supports all Driver Qualification (DQ) file requests, manages the random pool, assists with customer BIT audits, oversees EPNs/MVRs, and monitors Samba alerts. The role also involves tracking and maintaining driver documents to ensure compliance. 

Salary: The salary for this position is anticipated to be $73,000 - $83,000 per year plus incentive. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including but not limited to experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills and experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive skills and experience.  An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.  In addition to monetary compensation, we offer a competitive benefits package. Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and manage the DQ file process, which contains confidential information.
  • Customer Checklist Oversight: Ensure drivers meet all requirements by overseeing the customer checklist.
  • Utilize key performance metrics to establish targets, monitor results, and develop action plans for improvement areas.
  • Oversee the development, planning, delivery, and evaluation of training programs to enhance team skills and competencies.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff, supporting both organizational and personal goals.
  • Supervise day-to-day activities, policies, and procedures within the assigned service team.
  • Turn conflicts into opportunities to re-establish direction, encourage open communication, and promote team spirit.
  • Retrieve sensitive information from internal staff for upload into Tenstreet and Edge, ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Perform special projects as requested, particularly those related to service.
  • Oversee the Compliance Department, including pre and post-hire duties and DOT compliance.
  • Conduct audits and BIT inspections for DMS accounts as needed.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Service, Operations, Safety, Legal, and HR, to address compliance issues.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for DOT compliance, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Review and report on accidents and incidents.
  • Coordinate with the Global Support Team (India), providing follow-up, training, and monitoring.
  • Conduct ongoing audits of drivers' files to identify missing, expiring, or incomplete documents.
  • Ensure all driver expirable documents are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Manage the success of the quarterly random drug testing program.
  • Communicate with testing vendors to manage clinic locations, update test results, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Participate in testing new applications/programs prior to their live date.
  • Educate drivers on available tools, such as CMA and the Timecard web portal.
  • Provide backup coverage for operations in the absence of the Managing Service Director.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years of related professional experience.
  • 1+ years supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Proven success in delivering results through the actions of others.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to persuade an audience.
  • Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse employee AND customer population.
  • Excellent problem-solving and judgment.
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a car that can be used for work.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time. (Area can include several states and represent vast geographic areas).
